Losing your SWTCH Energy RFID card can be inconvenient, especially when it's your key to accessing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. But don’t worry—there are steps to ensure you can continue charging your vehicle while protecting your account. Here's what you need to do:
1. Report the Loss Immediately
The first step is to report your lost RFID card to SWTCH via the SWTCH Mobile App. While logged in, just click on the Menu icon(2 lines) on the upper-right corner of the app and click on Charge Card. On the next page, tap on the charge card and the option to "Report Lost or Stolen Card" will appear.
2. Order a Replacement Card
To continue accessing SWTCH charging stations seamlessly, you must order a replacement card.

The replacement card will be mailed to your registered address, typically within 5-10 business days.
3. Use Alternative Methods to Charge Your EV
While waiting for your replacement card, you can still charge your vehicle:
- Mobile App: Use the SWTCH app to start and stop charging sessions.
- Web App: Type in charge.swtchenergy.com on your web browser, and log in with your SWTCH account and you can activate the charger.
These methods ensure uninterrupted access to SWTCH’s charging network.
