If you use SWTCH to charge your EV through the mobile app or web portal, it is important to understand how account changes affect subscriptions and billing.
1. Suspending or Deleting Your Account
Deleting or suspending your SWTCH account:
Does not cancel your subscription.
Your access to chargers remains active.
Your payment method will continue to be billed monthly.
Account suspension or deletion only affects your profile in the app or web portal; it does not stop billing.
If you are unable to delete your account in the app due to payment update pop-ups or navigation issues, only the account holder can delete the account by clicking the three lines on the top right, selecting Settings, and then 'Delete my account.' If this is not possible, creating a new account with a different email address is an alternative solution.
2. Billing and Cancellation
Billing continues until SWTCH Support processes and confirms your cancellation request. Simply deleting or suspending your account will not prevent future charges.
For detailed instructions, see the official cancellation article.
3. Charger Access After Cancellation
Even after your subscription is canceled:
You retain access to the charger until the final day of your paid subscription period.
For more information, please check the cancellation article.

5. Key Points
Deleting or suspending your account does not stop subscription billing.
Charger access remains active until the end of the current paid subscription.
You must contact SWTCH Support to cancel and receive confirmation to stop billing.
6. Disputing a charge
If you receive an invoice or billing communication that appears to be in error or you are unsure of its legitimacy, the support team will escalate your inquiry to the appropriate department for review and investigation. You can expect a follow-up from a specialist or the relevant team to confirm the status of the invoice and clarify whether any further action is needed.
7. Moving out: Ownership and Billing transfer
- To transfer ownership and billing responsibility for a SWTCH charger, the new owner must create a SWTCH account and provide their email address to SWTCH Support. Once the new account is confirmed, support will update account ownership and ensure all future billing and contact details are directed to the new owner. The previous owner or manager should request deactivation or removal of their access to complete the transfer.
- When a charger is transferred to a new owner, the previous user must contact SWTCH Support to request cancellation of their subscription. Once the subscription is cancelled, the charger will be rendered inactive until the new owner chooses to activate it, at which point the new owner can initiate their own subscription and will be billed from that time forward.
- To authorize a new user (such as a tenant or new owner) to use a privately owned SWTCH charger and have them billed directly, the owner or property manager must provide the new user's SWTCH account email to SWTCH Support. Support will then grant access to the charger, ensuring the new user is billed for their own charging sessions.
8. Moving to a new country
To change your wallet country, you must update your payment method to align with your new country. If this is not possible, the current account can be deleted, allowing you to create a new account with the correct country and payment method.
