- EVSEs (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) have built-in GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection, and when an upstream GFCI device is also present (such as on the breaker), the two GFCI devices in series may not coordinate well, often causing fault trips. Electricians sometimes rely on the charger's GFCI and omit GFCI on the breaker to reduce frequent faults, especially in underground solutions.
- The only state where voltage can be detected on the L1 and L2 pins of the charger is the 'Charging' state. In other states, such as 'SuspendedEV' or 'Finishing', power is not delivered on these pins.
