- A PowerSwitchFailure, OverCurrentFailure, Undervoltage, or GroundFailure fault on a charger typically requires on-site investigation by a qualified electrician or technician to inspect the electrical circuit, connections, and local supply. SWTCH support will escalate the issue to the property manager or site contact to coordinate a site visit, as on-site electrical work is the responsibility of the property or equipment owner.
- For PowerSwitchFailure, OverCurrentFailure, Undervoltage, and GroundFailure faults, remote troubleshooting steps such as power cycling the charger at the breaker (typically for 30 seconds or longer) may be attempted by an authorized property contact or technician before scheduling a site visit.
- If a PowerSwitchFailure, OverCurrentFailure, Undervoltage, or GroundFailure fault persists after remote troubleshooting, SWTCH support will monitor the charger status and coordinate with the property manager or service partner to schedule further diagnostics, part replacement, or repairs as needed. The unit may be marked as 'Under Repair' in the system until resolution.
GFCI leak detected and other safety-related faults
- A GFCILeakDetected fault indicates that the charger has detected a ground fault or leakage current, which is a safety-related issue that typically requires investigation and may result in the charger being placed in a faulted state.
- OtherError codes such as LeakageModuleFail and ACLeakage indicate safety-related faults involving leakage detection modules or AC leakage, which can cause the charger to enter a faulted state and require further investigation.
- GroundFailure errors, such as those indicating 'Earth leakage circuit breaker type B', are safety-related faults that result in the charger being placed in a faulted state and require attention to the ground fault protection system.
- Manufacturer-specific error codes such as TOWER_SAFETY_FAILED, 011004, and 012233 are associated with safety-related faults (e.g., leakage detection, tower safety) and are treated as critical errors that cause the charger to enter a faulted state.
Charger Door Open Fault
A charger displaying a 'CHARGER_DOOR_OPEN' fault or similar error code typically indicates that the charger door is not fully closed or the door sensor is triggered, which causes the charger to enter a faulted state.
Emergency Stop Fault
If a charger is faulted due to the emergency stop button being engaged, the emergency stop button must be deactivated to restore normal operation.
