Level 2 AC Charging

First time using SWTCH Level 2 Charger? Follow the steps below to have a smooth charging experience.

Things to remember on SWTCH Level 2 chargers:

• Most have 6.6kW output, that adds ~30 km of driving range per hour of charging.
• Connector Type: J1772. You may need an adapter if your car is a Tesla.
• No locking mechanism on connector; if you're unable to plug, try unlocking your car doors first (certain EV models such as the Nissan Leaf and Toyota Prius Prime may need to be unlocked from inside the vehicle rather than using the key.)
• Some chargers take 2-3 minutes to ramp up to full 6.6kW output.

Here are the steps to start charging on our level 2 charger:

• Connect your car to the charger.
• Login to your SWTCH account and enter the charger ID of the charger you want to use. Press the search icon to find the charger.

• Read the charger info to know the details of that charger. Press "Start charger" to begin the charging session.

• To stop the charging session, you can unplug the charger from your car or press the "End charging" button on the app.
